Abstract

The entropy of a random variable according to information theory is the average level of information. Our main scope is, the estimation of three different entropies of Dagum distribution using Type-II censored data using maximum likelihood method. Monte-Carlo simulation study is constructed, and asymptotic confidence interval are obtained to study the behavior of the entropies for different sample sizes. Real data set is used to apply our proposed estimators.
